It was a fast day of honey seeeking drop-ins at BEEGrrl on Dundas West.  I shared a honey flight tasting with Sayyad.  He found me through my membership with the  Ontario Beekeeping Association www.ontariobee.com , as he was in persuit of  a local urban flavour.  Sayyad had biked all the way across town to obtain some BEEGrrl city bee honey for  (spolier alert) his girlfriend’s birthday.  I do hope she is not reading this post, given her celebratory day being a week away. While he sourced a gift he informed me that she was at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

My growing BEEGrrl inventory and today’s consumer demand pales in comparison to the variety of hive products currently on display at the fair until Sunday, Novemeber 11, 2012. This week I volunteered to tend the booth on behalf of the Toronto Beekeepers Co-op and enjoyed every day of it.
