Frames pulled already in 2016 makes for the earliest honey harvest yet at Fairmont Royal York. The bees are thriving atop of the roof of Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York. The first harvest was pulled on a beautiful, sunny day in Toronto and the bees were calm and chillin’. The ‘mini-harvest’ is likely to yield about 20 pounds of honey, once it’s extracted.
BEEGrll was the one who started all this roof-top bee keeping back in 2008. Now roof tops around the globe have joined the hive-jive and done their part to promote urban pollination.
